BIPO’s traditional New Year’s concert will greet you this season with a very colourful programme that includes voices from all over the world. For this concert, BIPO will be conducted by Carolyn Kuan, who has conducted at well-established institutions and orchestras such as Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto Orchestras, Royal Danish Ballet, British National Opera and New York City Ballet. BIPO will perform a selection of pieces by John Williams, Alexander Arutunian, Leonard Bernstein and Arturo Márquez as well as works from the late romantic period. The concert’s soloist will be French trumpeter Romain Leleu, who is widely regarded as one of the leading trumpeters of his generation.
